How do you find the time to train when you’ve also got the 9-5 and a family to worry about?

VirtuGO was created to help you to improve your health, fitness and performance on the bike, no matter what your starting point, or your end goal.

Why train indoors?

For many of us, it can be hard to find the time to even maintain cycling fitness, never mind follow any sort of training plan. Family and work commitments often get in the way. Inclement weather can put a damper on the precious time we do have, especially in the UK.

Training indoors can be a perfect solution. There’s no need to worry about the weather or traffic and you don’t even need to leave the house.

However, until recently, indoor training has mostly meant hour after boring hour of spinning at a semi-fixed resistance. Alone. Not the most exciting prospect.

The advent of smart trainers has thankfully changed that. Resistance can be automatically controlled by an app on a computer or smartphone to mimic real-world routes. Online communities introduce friendly competition and allow riders to train with friends near and far.

If you have specific training needs like hill climb repeats or flat intervals, but you don’t have access to the terrain you need in the ‘real world,’ smart trainers enable you to tailor sessions precisely using resistance. No more wasted time riding out to the nearest hill!
