HIGH 5 are a long-established favourite here at Wiggle. Now they're making it even easier to benefit from their range of sports nutrition with a brand new look and new colour-coded ranges. HIGH5 tell us more.

For those of you that don’t know us, we’re HIGH5. Creator of sports nutrition and celebrator of commitment with one simple aim of helping you to enjoy your sport more.

For those of you that do know us, you might know that we’ve been busy working on an exciting rebrand. We launched this on National HIGH5 Day (as you can probably guess from our name, we’re big fans), which took place on 19th April 2018.

Our products are exactly the same – the formulations, the quality, the taste, the texture – everything you love is still here. Our new look just means some updated product names and a fresh new style. So, we wanted to spend a bit of time explaining the changes and give an overview of our range to help you find the product that is right for you and your sport.

Why the change?

Well, here at HIGH5 our customers are the most important thing to us. So, from time to time, we like to check in and find out what you think. While our fans are always very nice (thanks everyone!) the feedback has been that the sports nutrition category can be crowded and confusing with it being hard to know what products do what and when.

So, what’s changed?

We’ve listened. And, in response to our lovely customers we’ve simplified the range with clearer product names, product ranges and packaging.

We now have four clear and colour-coded ranges: Energy, Hydration, Recovery and Active.

Energy

Your body has enough carbohydrate to last up to 90 minutes of strenuous exercise. This means during long endurance activities you need to top up your carbohydrate stores to stay at your very best. This is what our Energy products are designed to do.

Our Energy range consists of Energy Drink (previously known as EnergySource), Energy Gel, Energy Gel Aqua (previously known as IsoGel), and Energy Bar. And, as the name suggests, this range is dedicated to giving you energy! For an added boost, we also offer caffeinated versions of Energy Gel, Energy Gel Aqua and Energy Drink.

Hydration

Hydration is key during exercise, and the answer doesn’t just mean drink more water. When you sweat, your body loses important electrolytes, as well as water. So, this range is here to not only keep you hydrated but also to replace those missing electrolytes.

Our Hydration range is made up of ZERO and ZERO Caffeine Hit. Energy Drink also sits in this range for its power to not only give you energy but also hydrate you too!

Recovery

It’s also important to take nutrition after exercise to improve the recovery process of muscles. Your muscles become sore and stiff when they are stressed during exercise. These products are made to replenish muscles with both carbohydrate to replace lost glycogen and protein to repair muscle damage.

In our Recovery range, we have Recovery Drink and Recovery Bar (previously known as Protein Recovery and Protein Bar). Protein Hit andEnergy Drink with Protein (previously named EnergySource 4:1) also overlap with this range too for their ability to help repair muscles after exercise.

Active

Our final category is the Active range, this is for those of you who are after healthy on-the-go snacks to keep you going throughout the day.

In this range we have Protein Hit and ZERO. Both are convenient ways for you to refuel day-to-day.

How do I know which product to take when?

While our categories should make each product’s role clearer, we also want to make it easy for you to know when our products are best consumed. So, we’ve added ‘before’, ‘during’ and ‘after’ to our packaging to indicate when they’re best taken around exercise or sport. When a product doesn’t have this handy marker on it then it means it’s good to have any time of day!

We hope all of this makes it quicker and easier for you to find the right nutrition, whatever your goal.
